Love it or hate it, you can't escape Pokemon Go at the moment.
I'm personally not much of a gamer, so it has zero appeal to me, but it seems that it's captured the attention of not just children, but plenty of 'grown-ups' too.
I heard yesterday that it was quickly approaching the number of users that Tinder has... In only a matter of days.
It got me thinking though that it has all the ingredients to be a 'flash in the pan' and I expect it will be one of those things we'll look back on at the end of the year and think 'oh yeh, remember when we all spent 2 weeks chasing imaginary monsters'.
Things that last tend to have a slower, more gradual build up.
Trends build slowly, and last.
Fads explode all of a sudden, then burn out just as quickly.
Don't lose heart if what you do isn't an overnight success.
If it takes time, then I reckon it's far more likely to stick around.
