Snapchat rules.

When I feel like going on social media, that's nearly always where I head... It's fun, friendly... There's no political commentary or overblown opinion... It's simply a window into peoples' worlds.

That's why I love it so much.

If you look at my 'story', you probably only see 20% of the actual 'work' that I do on there though.

As with all social media, it's about what OTHER PEOPLE are posting. That's where the magic is.

I take the time to watch peoples' stories and engage with their content.

This is how you build friendships and relationships... Which very often, turn into business for one of you.

My favourite feature of snapchat (by far) is the ability to see exactly who is looking at your content.

This metric is so valuable. The fact that audiences are typically smaller on snapchat (in the early days at least), this is really easy to keep track of.

I make time to notice who is watching, and how much of my content they sit through.

This allows me to see what is engaging with my audience, and what is turning them off.

People love social media because of the 'variable reward'.

All this means is that they don't know what's coming next.

It could be something funny, entertaining, awesome... or equally it could be tragic or even boring... This mystery brings us back time and time again, every single day.

But the real secret... Look at who is consistently looking at your stuff and be sure to watch their content.

Engage with them, be genuine.

Form real human bonds around a common idea or interest.

You'll be amazed at where some of those conversations can lead.
