It's widely accepted that when you meet somebody for the first time, their initial impression of you is very important.
It's not always on a superficial level, such as clothes, hair, looks etc... But very often it is.
I like to think that most people will just accept you for who you are and what you say you can do. Making a great first impression is more about how you conduct yourself. Eye contact, vocal tonality and body language.
We are judged by this, even if it's on a subconscious level.
Everything about us tells a story and reveals insights as to who we are and what we're about.
I believe this extends to our visual branding and company logo - It is the face of your company after all.
Also, it's probably the image that first comes to mind when people hear your company name.
Being able to create a mental association with you brand is a massively powerful thing.
I love to help individuals and brands create a first impression that is going to set the tone for all future communications. It should be consistent with their story, brand message or value proposition... Whichever term you prefer to use.
